This one is different. It is a classic French Provencial style bed that has an upholstered hardwood frame. Maybe this is the ticket.

My sister is in the exact same position! She's going to ELTE because I told her about their upholstered bed program. One of their salespeople mentioned it to me a few weeks ago and it seems perfect. They have a few upholstered beds of which you can customize not only the fabric but the nailhead or welt too! Upholstered beds seem to be the fad but I'm hoping it's a fad to stay because they really make the room much warmer and more inviting.
Yes, they do make a room look cozier. Maybe you've thought of this already, but if your sister is looking for a bed that has no hard wood frame showing and she likes one at Elte, but doesn't like the price tag, she could try getting the same thing made at an upholsterer like Silva Upholstery or The Big Stuff. The price will probably be cheaper, especially if she gets the fabric herself at Designer Fabrics or MacFab.
You're probably right however the way I see it, I'd rather pay that little bit extra for the ELTE taste, selection, and quality. I used to try and shop around to find the lowest possible price and after years of it I found that not only was I getting lesser-quality and lesser-styled product but it was taking up more of my time to do it. My sister and I are the same with things like that. She told me yesterday that ELTE has a few sales going on now. She's thinking about getting 8 new dining chairs so it's obviously a great time for that being that they're 20% off. I'll be heading there with her tomorrow night. Wish us luck!
